Abstract:

In the long-term teaching practice, the major of chemistry at Northwest University has formed a distinctive feature in the specialty construction, by scientifically and rationally setting the specialty orientation and personnel training objectives based on the following measures: continuous improving the teaching quality with the construction of teachers as the starting point; polishing the background color of professional education based on the teaching material construction; focusing on improving students' academic quality using curriculum construction as the guide; establishing long-term mechanism of talent training with first-class teaching management as the guarantee. This paper introduces the measures and results of the construction of the first-class specialty of chemistry at Northwest University from the aspects of specialty orientation, teaching staff construction, teaching materials construction, curriculum construction and teaching management.
