Abstract: Inorganic and Analytical Chemistry is a core compulsory course for freshmen majoring in Environmental Science, laying the essential groundwork for subsequent specialized courses in environmental and related disciplines. In response to the national strategy of building a strong maritime power and the demands of professional talent development, this paper integrates interdisciplinary case studies in marine chemistry and cutting-edge research advancements into the teaching curriculum, while also refining instructional models and assessment systems. The course is designed to foster students’ interest in Inorganic and Analytical Chemistry, enable them to systematically understand the interplay between marine environments and chemical processes, and strengthen their overall competencies and professional qualities. This approach embodies the trinity of “knowledge transmission, ability cultivation, and values shaping”, offering an effective pathway to support the national marine strategy and the cultivation of toptier innovative talents.
