Abstract: This study developed a flexible electrochemical sensor for rapid and highly sensitive detection of heavy metal ions (Hg2+, Cd2+). The flexible electrodes were fabricated using screen-printing technology, and a porous polypyrrole film was constructed via electropolymerization and molecular removal strategies to enhance ion enrichment and stripping current response. The sensor demonstrated detection limits of 0.0089 mg·L-1 for Hg2+ and 0.0037 mg·L-1 for Cd2+. The experimental design incorporates interdisciplinary cutting-edge knowledge, aiming to foster students’ interest in chemical research and raise awareness of environmental pollution issues.
