Abstract: Noncovalent interactions encompass hydrogen bonding, electrostatic interactions, hydrophobic effects, π-π interactions, and van der Waals forces, among others. Despite being weaker than covalent bonds, these interactions pervade our daily lives, showcasing their significant influence at every moment. This article adopts a conversational format to briefly introduce everyday phenomena and objects driven by noncovalent interactions. Through practical examples, we aim to deepen readers’ knowledge and understanding of the field of supramolecular chemistry, allowing the public to appreciate the marvels of molecular art within supramolecular chemistry.

Key words: Supramolecular chemistry, Noncovalent interactions, Van der Waals forces, Hydrogen bonds
