Abstract: Under the background of the “Double First-Class” initiative, the number of teaching instruments and equipment in universities has increased significantly. How to utilize these instrument resources efficiently and sustainably to serve the cultivation of innovative talents has become an important issue in the reform of experimental teaching. Taking the Chemistry Experiment Center of Ocean University of China as an example, this paper systematically elaborates on an open-sharing management system covering small, medium, and large-sized teaching instruments, and constructs a “Five-in-One” management model with integrated management, intelligent reservation, modular teaching, fund-based operation, and standardized safety as its core. This model has effectively broken through the problems of low utilization rate of teaching instruments and insufficient efficacy in serving teaching and scientific research. This paper focuses on analyzing the specific measures of this model in improving the efficiency of instrument use, establishing a virtuous cycle of economic operation, optimizing the quality of experimental teaching, and cultivating students’ innovative abilities. Through the innovative establishment of the “Teaching Instruments Open Sharing Fund”, the transition from “consumptive” management to “sustainable” management has been realized, which provides a replicable and promotable practical paradigm for the open sharing of university teaching instruments and the reform of experimental teaching, and has important reference value.
