Abstract: At present, the teaching of inorganic chemistry principles in universities lacks sufficient integration with excellent traditional Chinese culture, and relevant cases are scarce. Based on teaching practice, this paper selects representative traditional cultural materials from six dimensions: philosophy, Chinese character culture, poetry culture, silk culture, well salt culture, and ceramic culture. It also introduces the entry points for their integration with the course content. Taking the integration of ceramic culture into the teaching of crystal field theory as an example, the exploration and practice process is elaborated from the aspects of pre-class guidance, in-class guidance, and post-class guidance. The integrated teaching has achieved satisfactory results, which is conducive to cultivating compound chemical talents with both professional competence and cultural confidence, and provides a reference for teaching colleagues.
