Abstract: In response to the issues of a high proportion of confirmatory content and insufficient cultivation of innovation ability in traditional inorganic chemistry experiment courses, South China University of Technology has developed a four-level progressive teaching system for inorganic chemistry experiment courses—comprising confirmatory, comprehensive, designable, and research experiments—for its chemistry strong foundation and top-tier classes. Additionally, a diversified evaluation approach that includes the design of new experimental courses has been established. Focusing on the cultivation of innovative thinking and scientific research inquiry skills, this system significantly enhances the quality of advanced education, providing a practical model for the reform of fundamental chemistry experiment courses in higher education institutions.
