Abstract: This study employs flame atomic absorption spectroscopy to quantify the potassium ion content in discarded tobacco stem ash. The results are compared with the potassium levels in other common crops, offering potential solutions for the reutilization of tobacco waste. The independently designed experiments aim to cultivate students’ abilities in critical thinking and practical problem-solving, reinforcing the connection between theoretical knowledge and practical application. This approach enhances students’ understanding of energy and environmental issues, maximizing the educational value of both theoretical and practical learning.
