Abstract: This study presents a transition-metal-free, hypervalent iodine-mediated oxidative sulfonamidation of sulfenamides for the efficient and rapid synthesis of sulfinamidines. Designed as an advanced undergraduate laboratory experiment, this comprehensive protocol encompasses substrate preparation, reaction monitoring, product purification, and structural characterization. The experiment systematically enhances students’ core competencies in organic synthesis and structural analysis while stimulating scientific curiosity through exposure to original research. By integrating innovative findings with practical training, it effectively cultivates students’ experimental skills, innovative thinking, and research capabilities, providing solid foundation for developing interdisciplinary talents. The pedagogical value of this experiment has been successfully validated in undergraduate teaching laboratories.
