Abstract: Building upon the conventional methyl orange synthesis experiment, this study incorporates a self-developed “automated feeding and digital temperature control” system into the experimental procedure. This advancement substantially improves experimental safety by addressing issues such as uneven reaction distribution and excessive side reactions resulting from manual feeding, while simultaneously streamlining the workflow. In addition to fulfilling the original pedagogical objectives, this modified approach enables students to concentrate on observing experimental phenomena and understanding fundamental principles, thereby placing greater emphasis on developing students’ comprehensive competencies.
