Abstract: This study addresses the pedagogical challenges associated with Pourbaix diagrams in inorganic chemistry by incorporating bipolar membrane technology to develop a visualized experimental approach. Utilizing sodium alginate as the raw material, we fabricated a bipolar membrane and constructed an electrochemical cell to systematically investigate the effects of pH and overpotential on cell voltage. The experiment employs a blended online-offline teaching methodology with tiered experimental modules, facilitating interdisciplinary knowledge integration. Characterized by operational simplicity, reagent safety, and cost-effectiveness, this approach enhances students’ theoretical understanding and innovative thinking, making it particularly suitable for undergraduate chemistry education.
