Abstract: Addressing the national strategic need for interdisciplinary STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) talents, this study pioneers cross-disciplinary integration in chemistry education reform. Focusing on persistent disciplinary barriers in Semiconductor Physics instruction, we propose a three-dimensional teaching reform framework guided by the “theory-research-industry triintegration” principle: (1) Conceptual integration through establishing correspondences between Fermi level/chemical potential and band theory/molecular orbital theory; (2) Curriculum reconstruction using quantum dots exemplars to demonstrate the “physical principles-material properties-technological applications” continuum; (3) Industry-academia integration via perovskite photovoltaics case studies addressing technological bottlenecks. This systematic restructuring has successfully resolved pedagogical challenges while enhancing students’ interdisciplinary cognition and innovation capacity, offering a replicable model for developing integrated STEM curricula aligned with national strategic priorities.
