Abstract: Using a single case of automobile exhaust purification, this approach organically integrates chemical thermodynamics, chemical kinetics, and chemical equilibrium. Through scenario setting and case presentation, it employs a “one-case-integrated-throughout” strategy: the case is used to introduce the topic, stimulate thinking, and analyze underlying principles, while simultaneously educating students through the case. “One-case-integrated-throughout” is not only scientific, systematic, and coherent, but also inspiring and constructive. This case-based teaching method emphasizes the coherence of subject thinking and the logicality of teaching content. Moreover, it can fully reflect the educational philosophy of “teacher-led and student-centered”. By studying a single case, students can not only clarify the internal connections among chapter contents, deepen their understanding and mastery, and accelerate knowledge transfer and solidification, but also strengthen their thinking and logical training. Teaching practice has proven that this “one-case-integrated-throughout” teaching method and instructional design significantly improves both teaching and education effect.
