Abstract: The effective integration of academic frontiers with undergraduate laboratory instruction serves as a crucial approach to fostering students' professional interest and innovative thinking. This study presents a comprehensive experiment involving the construction and application of CO2-responsive microemulsions. The experimental design encompasses multiple core concepts and technical competencies across physical chemistry (phase diagrams, colloids), analytical chemistry (titration, UV-Vis spectroscopy, nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy), and organic chemistry (Knoevenagel condensation). The experiment demonstrates both fundamental principles and advanced characteristics, incorporating elements of innovation, higher-order cognitive skills, and appropriate challenge levels.

Key words: Microemulsions, CO2-responsive, Surfactant-free, Nanoreactor, Knoevenagel condensation
