Mass spectrometry imaging is a frontier research field derived from the development of mass spectrometry. It is the combination of mass spectrometry and imaging techniques, which can get the molecular structure information and the spatial distribution information at the same time without labeling. Mass spectrometry imaging has tremendous applications in the fields of biomedicine, clinical medicine, pathology and life science research for the analyzing of small molecules, peptides, metabolites, etc.
