On Competition Motivated Improvements: A Summary and Reflection on the 2nd National College Students' Chemical Experiment Innovative Design Contest

Abstract:

Experiences on the 2nd National College Student's Chemical Experiment Innovative Design Contest were summarized in this paper. By taking our project as an example, discussions and introductions about rules and their corresponding implementation of a science popularization experiment were shared. Based on our reflections on this contest, we regard it as a powerful platform for promoting chemistry laboratory teaching reform in universities, and also we furtherly presented suggestions on ways to extend the contest influence, the construction of the ranks of teachers and the talent cultivation.
