Abstract: This study presents a comprehensive analysis of two organic chemistry problems from the 39th China Chemical Olympiad (Final Round). Problem 9 is examined through key mechanistic aspects including intramolecular alkylation, rearrangement reactions, and non-classical carbocation intermediates, with systematic elucidation of the complex reaction pathways. Problem 10 investigates fundamental electrocyclic ring-opening principles, carbene intermediates, nucleophilic addition to iminium salts, and oxidative amination mechanisms of double bonds, emphasizing the critical steps and stereochemical characteristics in product formation. By integrating diverse reaction patterns and mechanistic details, this analysis provides problem-solving approaches and valuable insights into complex organic reaction mechanisms.
