Abstract: This study addresses the limitations of conventional electrochemical education, where knowledge is often fragmented and students struggle to develop a systematic understanding of the relationship between material preparation and performance applications. We present an integrated experiment focusing on the preparation of polyacrylamide (PAM) hydrogel electrolyte and its application in flexible aqueous zinc-ion batteries (FZIBs). The experimental design includes the complete workflow from material synthesis and property characterization to device integration and performance evaluation. Through a problem-driven approach involving experimental verification and practical application extension, students engage in hands-on activities including bending tests, conductivity measurements, battery assembly, and flexible device evaluation. This pedagogical model bridges cutting-edge research with engineering practice, providing a replicable solution to overcome the challenges of fragmented knowledge instruction while fostering the development of systematic thinking and engineering competencies in emerging engineering education.
