The Application of Matlab in the pH Calculation of Amphiprotic Species

Abstract

Abstract:

The pH calculation of amphiprotic species is a very important content in the inorganic chemistry course.In this paper, the calculation of pH and the distribution fraction as a function of pH using Matlab software are illustrated by three representative examples, NaHCO₃, NH₄CN, and NaH₂PO₄. This practice can help students further understand the fundamentals of the amphiprotic species, and enable students to understand and learn the application of Matlab software in chemistry.
