Abstract: As China advances its dual-carbon strategy and the development of a maritime power, greater demands are being placed on the knowledge base, research capabilities, and overall competence of professionals in marine chemistry. The seawater carbonate system constitutes a core component of marine chemistry education. To address the issues of fragmented knowledge and weak parameter correlations in traditional experimental teaching, this paper presents a modular comprehensive experiment built around the seawater carbonate system, in which measurements of pH, dissolved inorganic carbon (DIC), and total alkalinity (TA) are restructured into an integrated framework. Through systematic observation and calculation, students explore the distribution characteristics of carbonate species and their environmental implications. Practical implementation demonstrates that this design enhances students’ abilities in multiparameter coupling analysis and modeling thinking, offering a valuable reference for reforming analogous chemistry laboratory courses.
