Abstract: Silk fibroin is the main component of silk. It has excellent biocompatibility, appropriate mechanical properties and biodegradability. Therefore, Silk fibroin can be used as templates for biomineralization and has great potential in the field of bone tissue engineering. Properties of silk fibroin and its application in the field of bone tissue engineering through biomineralization are introduced vividly through personification writing.

Key words: Silk, Silk fibroin, Bone tissue engineering, Biomineralization
