A Comprehensive Analytical Chemistry Experiment: Colorimetric Detection of Vitamin C Using Nanozyme and Smartphone

Abstract: This experiment introduces a novel colorimetric analysis leveraging nanozymes developed by Chinese scientists in conjunction with widely accessible smartphones. It is designed to intertwine cutting-edge scientific advancements with ideological education within the chemistry curriculum, enabling students to acquire knowledge and skills while gaining insights into leading scientific fields. This approach not only bolsters cultural confidence and fosters a spirit of rigorous scientific inquiry and innovation but also enriches to overall educational impact of laboratory teaching. Without the need for expensive, sophisticated equipment, the experiment offers robust operability and flexibility, making it an ideal component of advanced analytical chemistry or comprehensive chemistry courses.
