Abstract: This study examines literature on curriculum-based ideological and political education in the four fundamental chemistry courses indexed in CNKI from 2018 to 2025, employing CiteSpace software for visual bibliometric analysis to systematically delineate the research status and developmental trajectory in this field. The findings indicate that publication output initially increased and then declined, peaking in 2023, which closely aligns with policy orientations toward curriculum-based ideological and political education. Author collaboration networks exhibit a pattern of “small clusters with large-scale fragmentation”, reflecting insufficient cross-institutional cooperation. Research hotspots have evolved along the pathway of “policy response - integration practice - frontier innovation”. This study offers insights for teaching reform and talent cultivation in chemistry curriculum-based ideological and political education.
