Abstract: “Inorganic synthetic chemistry” is a core course in the applied chemistry program at Central South University, characterized by its complexity, comprehensive content, and high level of difficulty. In recent years, we have developed a rational teaching design that emphasizes the principles of synthesis reactions (chemical thermodynamics and kinetics). Our approach integrates synthetic design, methods, and technologies into a cohesive framework, progressing from fundamental principles to practical applications. We incorporate the latest research advancements and the faculty’s own research achievements, aligning with national priorities in scientific development and environmental protection. Throughout the course, we emphasize the critical importance of ethics and responsibility in scientific practice, fostering a sense of national mission and pride in technological innovation. This integrated approach aims to cultivate graduates with a solid theoretical foundation, comprehensive professional knowledge, and a strong sense of duty in the field of applied chemistry.
