Abstract: The Chemistry “101 Plan” identifies broadening horizons and connecting with cutting-edge advancements as key objectives for inorganic chemistry course. This study proposes incorporating the development and heritage of Chinese glass culture as an ideological-political case study within the “Compounds of Silicon” module. Through exploring China's rich glass-making history, contemporary breakthroughs in advanced glass materials, and discoveries in lunar glass research, this approach expands students' cultural and academic perspectives while strengthening cultural confidence and national pride. The case study cultivates craftsmanship excellence and scientific innovation spirit, while inspiring students' sense of mission in building a technologically advanced nation. Teaching practice demonstrates that this ideological-political case successfully achieves the integrated development of knowledge, skills, and literacy, effectively fulfilling the curriculum's ideological-political education function.
