Abstract: This paper conducts a systematic elaboration on the development and implementation of a teaching case database for pharmaceutical basic chemistry (inorganic chemistry) within the framework of “research-education integration”. The database is characterized by a tripartite structure that connects “cutting-edge research findings-fundamental principles-pharmaceutical applications”. The case studies included in the database are carefully selected from top-tier journals such as Nature, Science, and Cell. These cases encompass key chemical concepts like molecular structures, coordination chemistry, redox reactions, and elemental chemistry. The design of the database emphasizes four thematic dimensions: clinical challenges, pharmaceutical innovations, traditional Chinese medicine applications, and life science discoveries, which enhances students' ability to understand drug mechanisms and development processes at the molecular level.
