Abstract: In the context of Emerging Engineering Education and engineering education accreditation, this study addresses the disconnection between the Inorganic and Analytical Chemistry course and forest product chemical engineering practices, as well as the limitations of a monolithic evaluation system. Grounded in the distinctive educational mission of Southwest Forestry University and capitalizing on the abundant forest resources of Yunnan Province, the teaching content was restructured to incorporate industrial case studies and ideological and political elements. A blended teaching model coupled with a diversified evaluation system was subsequently developed. Practical implementation demonstrates that these reforms effectively enhance students’ ability to apply knowledge and strengthen their professional identity, thereby offering a valuable reference for chemistry curriculum reform in forestry institutions.
