Abstract: Within the overarching context of the “Coal-to-Liquids Project in Ningxia”, this study focuses on the establishment of reaction conditions (temperature and pressure) as the primary task for implementing large unit teaching in physical chemistry. By developing a thematic and structured knowledge framework, the research integrates essential concepts from thermodynamics and kinetics. Utilizing diverse teaching resources, including national-level MOOCs and scholarly articles in both Chinese and English, the study designs comprehensive classroom activities. Specific questions are formulated within the sub-contexts of the water-gas reaction and Fischer-Tropsch synthesis to enhance students’ scientific thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
