Abstract: Aesthetic education constitutes a vital component of the “Five-Education” pedagogical framework. While theoretical discussions about incorporating aesthetic education into chemistry experiment courses abound, practical implementations remain scarce. Under the guidance of aesthetic education principles, the authors have innovatively redesigned the spectrophotometry experiment course. This redesigned course centers on spectrophotometric analysis of betanin extract content, cultivating students' practical skills in applying the standard curve method using spectrophotometers. The incorporation of a betanin extraction procedure addresses the common deficiency in traditional analytical chemistry experiments that often omit sample preparation, thereby enabling students to comprehend the complete analytical process. Furthermore, the integration of intangible cultural heritage elements such as traditional lipstick formulation and handcrafted tie-dye techniques enhances both the course's engaging qualities and educational value. Notably, the modular design of this spectrophotometry experiment course allows flexible adaptation according to specific teaching objectives and conditions, demonstrating considerable potential for broader application.
