Abstract: Higher education should not only focus on imparting specialized knowledge but also emphasize the importance of students’ ideological and political education. This paper uses “Surface Tension” as a case study to explore the reform of ideological and political education within the curriculum, employing the BOPPPS teaching model. The study examines various aspects of this reform, including teaching objectives, teaching design, and teaching evaluation. By integrating ideological and political elements throughout the BOPPPS framework, the scientific content is enhanced. This approach aligns the transmission of knowledge with the guidance of ideological values, offering recommendations and strategies for the reform of physical chemistry education.
